Held Accountable

It seems like every year as the 1st of January rolls around that everyone is concernced about their weight and dieting. So, I jumped on the band wagon but I am calling it my "better way of eating" plan. At work we are actively involved in a losing weight program. I have upped my daily exercise and am certainly eating better but have not seen much weight loss. I have lost inches off my hips though which is good! It is good to be held accountable for weight loss since that is part of my motivation to lose. I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel yet and maybe won't for awhile but I sure do feel better when I exercise! So, to all of you out there who are in the same boat - may your veggies and fruits keep you going!

Baby will be called Abram ..................

Little baby has a name, he will be called Abram Barry . Bram will be his nickname. His name is strong and unique! We can hardly wait to see him again soon. With much joy, I updated my blog personal profile from 5 to 6 grandchildren this morning!

We got the call! Baby has arrived...............

Baby made his appearance on Thursday, January 17th at 7:32 p.m. weighing in at 7 lbs. 14 oz. and 22 inches long. Mom & baby are doing well. Dad is so proud (hmmmmm couldn't be because baby looks exactly like him!)of them both. Angie will have some stories to tell on her blog so I will leave all the good "stuff" to her. Being grandma is truly one of God's blessings! He doesn't have a name right now, mom and dad are deciding. Can't wait to spoil him....................

When will we get the call or "they" will wait upon the Lord................

As most of you know we are awaiting the birth of our Saeger grandson. Everytime the phone rings at odd hours of the day or night both Bill and I look at each other and think "Angie's calling" it's time! I can only imagine what our dear daughter and son-in-law must be going through. Birthing is one time when the verse "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31) is a wonderful promise and reminder. For nine months a woman carries a child both beneath and within her heart, waiting long months and laboring hours to give birth to the miracle God has given. Having a baby is such a spiritual experience; when God gives you a soul, you become the caretaker of that soul. We wait with a most grateful heart knowing that our grandson has two loving parents who will teach him to love, play and direct his life in the steps of the Lord.

Can you hear my heart beat?

Yes! Our grandson defininately has a good, strong heart beat. I was able to go with Angie to her OB/Gyn appointment yesterday and could hear his little heart beat strong and clear. I too am anxious for this little guy to appear. What a great start to 2008 and what fun stories I will be able to tell baby Saeger as he gets older about his mom and dad's preparations for his arrival!

2008 stands before us with all the hope, anticipation and zest we have for every new year. My New Year's resolutions for all continues to be keeping each and everyone of you on my prayer list. May God bless you with a wonderful 2008!
