Spring where are you and Have you counted your Blessings this Easter!

I am tired of weather under 40 degrees, cold gloomy days and snow........... Spring where are you
with your warm showers and bright spring flowers..... Come soon.... Come now.....

I was blessed to have had some time on Easter morning to reflect on the sacrifices Jesus made so that we could be forgiven of our sins and join him in eternal life. What peace can be found in those verses that share with us the joy of "He is risen". He lives!

We were blessed to have McKenzie and Madison visit us on Easter Sunday, they came for two hours and we did an Easter basket hunt. Grandma made up clues and there were many gigles and much laughter as they scoured the house and found their baskets. We had an early dinner and then they were out the door to relatives on their mom's side. It was fun to catch up on their activities and what is going on in school. Kenzie told us she is in the chorus for the school play "Oaklahoma". It sounds like she is having alot of fun practicing!

I was blessed with a couple of days with Abram, Angie and Barry. Abram is beginning to like his new schedule and is so cute with his little coo's and big smiles. Brandy, Zach, Brayden, Kailey and I stayed in a motel Sunday and Monday night in the cities. Angie, Barry and Abram came to see us on Sunday night and we sat and visited for a couple of hours; Angie even got to sit in the hot tub for 15 minutes while Abram took a nap with Barry. On Monday morning Angie and Abram came and had breakfast with us and then Angie went to work and grandma could spend the day with Abram at the motel. Brandy, Zach, Brayden and Kailey went to the Mega Mall and Underwater World. Baby Abram loved Zach so he played with Abram and kept him busy before they left. So, it was just me and Abram for the whole day, it was great to spend some time with him playing, going for walks around the motel and watching him look around at his different surroundings. He was very happy when daddy Barry came to pick him up and had a very big smile for him. Barry, Brandy, the kids and I all went down and had snacks and pop and talked for awhile before they went home. Abram loved looking at all the people so Barry could relax for a few minutes too. After Barry and Abram left Brandy and I took the kids down to the pool for a couple of hours. Every night we would play "spoons" which was Brayden's favorite card game, of course I lost and Brayden thought that was just the greatest that he could leave his Aunty without a spoon. On Tuesday, Angie and Abram came for breakfast, we went swimming and then spent the afternoon at Angie and Barry's. Kailey loves Abram and calls him her baby and of course all the kids wanted pictures with him. It was fun to visit with Angie for a couple of hours and the Brayden and Zach had fun playing guitar hero. On the way home we stopped at Darlene and Jay's to see their new home in Owatonna. Darlene has a flair for color and loves to decorate so it was fun to see what she had accomplished. I loved the colors! Jada played kept Kailey busy playing so Darlene, Brandy and I could talk and of course Darlene had a great lunch prepared for us. I don't know where she finds time to do all the special things she does for others! It was a busy, fun filled 2 days for all of us!!

We are blessed to be going to Bill and Rachel's and make flowers for the wedding. We were supposed to go over there on Easter, go to church and have dinner together but Bill came down with the flu. We missed not seeing them but will make up for it this weekend!

Is it really Spring or an elusion?

When I look outside I see sunshine but there is still way too much snow and too cold. I am getting very impatient for Spring. I want to clean and store my winter coat and feel a warm breeze in my face as I walk to my car after work.

All the early signs of Spring have come and gone. Like the Girl Scout cookie sales, the daffodil sales, the Ides of March is on Saturday; so hurry warm weather and make your appearance.

My dad bowled a perfect 300 last night, guess he caused quite a commotion in the bowling alley as they anticipated each upcoming strike. He is 76 years young! Congrats dad!

Our little Abram had his 8 week checkup today. He is growing and his mom has put new pictures on her blog of him so of course I had to print them off and put them on my desk right away.
