Last night as I lay in bed trying to recoup from a severe sinus infection I was thinking of something profound that I could leave you all with during this Christmas season to say thank you for being there this year. This is what I came up with:
Lose Your Feathers?
Several years ago I took my granddaughter's Kenzie and Madison down to Fountain Lake to feed the ducks. As soon as we pulled up, the girls were out of the car chattering and laughing, and of course leaving the doors wide open for grandma to close. Madi who was 3 at the time, loved ducks. She raced back and forth the shore line of the lake picking up handfuls of feathers. All of a sudden she yelled out "Hey duckies, one of you losed your feathers"! I'm sure if she would have had her way and those ducks would have come to shore she would have helped each and everyone of them get their feathers back on. Instead she closed her eyes tight, took a deep breath and as her eyes opened again she blew those feathers up to the sky giggling with delight watching as they floated down. My wish for you this Christmas is when your "feather" load gets to heavy, close your eyes and give it all up to our "Protector". Help those whom you can, be good to yourself and remember the magic in a little girls heart to let it go when you know it's too heavy. May God bless each and everyone of you! Love ya! Rita
